We have recently started supplying our cakes to the wonderful and relatively new community farm shop, set within the beautiful grounds of Hauser & Wirth and the fab Roth Bar & Grill, in Somerset. The farm shop was established to promote and celebrate the best growers, farmers, makers and artisans the local area has to offer from established success stories to emerging talent. By promoting and sharing local companies, like Wild Flour, they are supporting small projects with big goals for the future. Working with like minded brands enables us to build long lasting relationships with those who share the same vision including our ethical and sustainable values.
Their commitment to sustainability runs through everything they do. The farm has over 1,000 acres of free range farmland where they practise extensive, low-input farming so that their livestock can roam freely. They also grow an extensive range of fresh, seasonal produce. But it doesn’t stop there, all the building materials used across the site have been carefully chosen, sourced from sustainable and ethical companies, to include how the farm shop is heated and the way your shopping is wrapped.
They work with Help for the Homeless, a charity supporting homelessness by offering food and support to those in their local area who may be facing a challenging time and distributing to those in need, any surplus food that would otherwise be disposed of.
This is a wonderful relationship that we can’t wait to build on.
