Wild Flour Cake Co is an award winning wholesale bakery, creating cakes for the best coffee shops across the South West and beyond. We are looking for a dynamic and flexible person, with strong pastry and team skills to join our friendly talented team. As a small growing business, you would report to our Bakery Production Manager, ensuring the production and consistency within the bakery is maintained to the highest and most efficient standard at all times. We are looking for someone who is passionate about baking, driven in their career and excited to come on the journey with us from a small artisan bakery to bigger things.
Salary: £22,000 per annum (TBC)
Hours: 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday (no weekend work)
Contract Type: Full Time Permanent

Job Description
Senior Baker (Timsbury, nr Bath)
Full Time, 37.5 hours a week, Salaried
This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and growing team at a local, ethical bakery, which produces a range of high end, quality cakes. Working closely with the Bakery Production Manager you will help strengthen the team and the production of wholesale cakes across all ranges, from baking to decorating.
Key Responsibilities
- To help ensure that production runs smoothly on a daily basis
- To ensure all baking is consistent as set out in the specifications procedure, along with accurate weights and measurements at all times
- To be organised and methodical with how your days are planned and closed
- To decorate and finish cakes to the high standards of Wild Flour Cake Co.
- To follow all SALSA guidelines, along with Wild Flour Cake Co.’s own Food hygiene standards
- To follow all Health & Safety guidelines as set out by the business
- To ensure correct labelling, stock rotation and traceability is carried out at all times
- To fill in all records used onsite, daily, weekly and monthly, as set out by our food hygiene procedures
- To ensure all deliveries are received correctly and stored in the correct manor as set out in Wild Flour Cake Co procedure documents
- To keep wastage down to an absolute minimum within the production and decoration sections as best as possible
- To help new members of staff to learn the sections and skills/bakes and/or decoration tasks with the buddy system at Wild Flour Cake Co.

Terms and Conditions
Salary: £22,000 per annum
Working hours: Full time, 37.5 hours (5 days) per week
Hours: 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday (no weekend work)
Place of Work: Your place of work will be the bakery at Unit 1a Timsbury Workshop Estate, Hayeswood Road, Timsbury, Somerset BA2 0HQ
Contract Type: Full Time Permanent
Management: Reporting to the Production Manager
Probationary Period: 6-months, with reviews at 1 month, 3 months and 6 months (and subject to extension if required)
Annual Leave: Statutory - 28 days including bank holidays
Pension: Government work based pension scheme
