We are currently looking for:  

BAKERY OPERATIVE (Timsbury, nr Bath) 

This varied, bakery-based role is an essential part of the Wild Flour bakery. It is an important position ensuring excellent food hygiene and smooth running of production through team work.

Wild Flour Cake Co is an award-winning wholesale bakery providing high quality traybakes, muffins and round cakes to coffee shops, garden centres and distributors.

THE PACKAGE

Job Title: Kitchen Porter

Salary between: £9.50 per hour

Hours: 40 hours (5 days) per week, 30 min lunch break. Fixed hours; Monday - Friday 9am-5.30pm

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent 

Holidays: 28 days per year including bank holidays

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to: Head Baker

  • Take in deliveries on site
  • Organise cake orders in the fridge ready for our cake deliveries to leave site
  • Scan out all orders according to the delivery notes for the next day 
  • Leave driver documents in their correct place with van keys
  • Move finished cakes to shipping container freezer storage
  • Move ingredients from Shipping Container to bakery (and visa versa). Organise ingredients in a neat manner. 
  • Manage stock and rotate all cakes and ingredients used on site in storage spaces 
  • Adhere to SALSA guidelines for the business 
  • Maintain van hygiene (inside and outside) 
  • Assist the bakery with washing up or basic baking tasks including lining tins
